Your premier boat experience
Choose from 4-hour or 6-hour fishing trips, with longer outings available by request. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, so you can arrive ready to fish. Guests who prefer using their own equipment are welcome to bring it along.
Trips are available for groups of up to three anglers on Black Lake, Grand Lake, Long Lake, Hubbard Lake, and Avery Lake.

What We Fish For
Chasing Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass
Our trips primarily focus on smallmouth and largemouth bass. Depending on the lake, season, and conditions, you may also have the opportunity to catch northern pike or walleye.
Every day on the water is different, and that is part of the experience. We use local knowledge and advanced electronics to locate productive areas and give you the best opportunity to find active fish.

Fish from a 2020 Nitro Z21 powered by a 250 HP Mercury Pro XS four-stroke. The boat provides a stable and comfortable platform for fishing Northern Michigan’s inland lakes.
Poor Boy’s Fishing uses modern Humminbird technology, including MEGA 360 Imaging, MEGA Live 2, TargetLock, MEGA Side Imaging, and MEGA Down Imaging. This equipment helps identify structure, locate fish, and spend more of the trip fishing productive water.
